Femme Fatale: Jodi Arias Part 16

As if it couldn’t get any crazier in the life of Jodi Arias. The girl has already stated she wanted to get the death penalty, yet we’re still here why? No one knows and I’m sure we won’t get our questions answered for a long while.

Last week Travis’ brother and sister took the stand and poured their hearts out about how their lives have changed dramatically. It was extremely sad and I couldn’t help but cry along with them. Court ended abruptly after that again with no reason.

After today’s charades during the penalty phase, my schedule for the week had to be tweaked once again. We were all sitting around (those with no lives like me) waiting for Jodi’s two defense witnesses to take the stand– Jodi’s ex-boyfriend Darryl Brewer and childhood best friend Patricia Womack.

Did that happen? Of course not!

After a late start the Judge and attorneys came out to address the court. While they were in chambers the defense for about the fourth time (I believe) attempted to get a mistrial due to threats Patricia Womack was receiving from the defense! The defense! Can you believe it? Motion for a mistrial, DENIED.

Apparently Patricia has been getting death threats about supporting her best-friend. The Judge even was going to allow her to take the stand behind closed doors and she declined. The option to even keep her testimony locked and sealed without the public having access to it and again she declined.

A shocker came about right after. Nurmi surprise everyone when he said no one would take the stand for Jodi. Not Patricia nor Darryl. No one is quite sure of Darryl’s reasons– yet.

Then Nurmi and Jennifer Wolf ask to withdraw from the case as Jodi’s attorneys. Again their request was denied.

When the Judge asked if Jodi would testify they asked to approach the bench and court was canceled for the rest of the day.

An unbelievable day in court. A waste of time for the families who are so close to having something close to closure, court observers, news reporters, us who watch this trial religiously and the jury who have spent months with Jodi’s shenanigans.

Will Jodi tell the jury what she said during her interview after they found her guilty? Or will she finally admit to what she did and what really happened? Who knows.
