Femme Fatale: Jodi Arias Part 3

The moment we all waited for– well for those following the Jodi Arias case, she took the stand! I checked Twitter to see what was going on yesterday with the case since I wasn’t home and I saw she was testifying. I was very excited and interested in what she was going to say.

The thing that caught my attention the most was when she said the reason for her saying during an Inside Edition interview, “no jury is going to convict me because I’m innocent and you can mark my words, no jury will convict me,” was because she was going to kill herself that’s why no jury would convict her since she would be dead, therefore there’d be no trial and no jury. How creative! I mean who comes up with such a remarkable excuse? Non other than a pathological liar like Miss. Jodi Arias herself. Well why couldn’t she just say that she was going to kill herself? Oh, there’s a simple answer of course– there was a cop a few feet away from her and they would have put her in a small padded cell for the remaining time. Remaining time? But I thought you were going to kill yourself? How much time do you need!? Anyone else smell pants on fire?

Then the defense for some reason is asking Jodi about her love life with Bobby (first true love), Victor (from Costa Rica) and a couple other men all who cheated on her or treated her like a red-headed child. What I think the defense is trying to do is show a pattern Jodi always goes into– getting involved with men who treat her badly, which is a reason she got with Travis Alexander because her defense remember is that he was abusive towards her. I just hope the prosecution can find these ex’s and prove the craziness she is. Or they’re simply trying to get the jury to feel sympathy towards her and not give her the death penalty. FYI, just last week defense wanted to plea to second degree murder and was denied.

Furthermore, defense bought up how “abused” Jodi was as a child; beat with a wooden spoon that would leave welts, belt which never left welts and was slapped one night when she stayed out all night. That’s not even abuse! What child doesn’t get spanked? I was hit with spoons, hangers, shoe, and belts, how does that give any justification for me to kill someone later on in life? I still love my parents till this day through all the endless beatings.

“Did you kill Travis Alexander?” Jodi, “Yes, because he attacked me and I defended myself.” Um, okay. Where are the tears or guilt? Jodi wanted to “cry” all those other times, but not during her remembering killing Travis and how awful that must’ve been having been “attacked.” HLN said it best, she sounded more believable on the interrogation tapes than she did on the stand.

What’s going to be the best part of this case is cross examination because all this was a crock of crap! Pointless and useless. Let’s see what tomorrow brings.
