Spit Up, Fart, Poop

I really do think Baby Z enjoys throwing up and pooping! Since the day of her birth it’s been constant spit up, it even stopped for a few days and I thought I was out of the clear. Of course I was wrong or I wouldn’t be talking about it. Then if she’s not spitting up her meal I prepared for her, she’s farting away and pooping! Who knew they had so much in them?

While I was expecting Baby Z’s arrival I was prepared to change diapers, but what in the world is that stuff that comes out!? My boyfriend calls me the best mother in the world because the poopy diapers don’t faze me, but when it’s time for him to change those diapers he can hardly breathe. It’s actually quite funny.

Last night after our workout at the track, I jumped in the shower as usual while he bathed her. All of a sudden I hear “She’s pooping in her tub!” I had to rush out the shower in my towel to go clean her and get her warm because she continued to poop while he was holding her over the tub! I never knew babies could poop while bathing. Definitely a memory that will never be forgotten. Has this happened to you?

The other thing I knew that babies were going to do was spit up, but not around the clock like Baby Z. It sucks, but when you think about it, it can be kind of funny. So here is my list of:

You Know You Have a Reflux Baby When:

-You keep more clothes for yourself in the diaper bag than for the baby.

-Spoiled milk is your new perfume.

-Keep a bucket of mop water ready at all times.

-You have all kinds of different formulas in your home to figure out which one they will keep down.

-When you use bath towels as a burp cloth.

-Tuck multiple burp clothes in the car seat.

-There are at least two outfit changes before you leave the house because they threw up all over them.

To all the mommy’s that can relate, how true is this!? Have to love that you’re not alone in this!

Also just a side note, while I was searching the net I came across an acid reflux pillow for babies! Look at this thing and tell me it’s not a mini straight jacket for babies!?
