Baby Gender Reveal Idea! Oh the fun!

In today’s society there’s a thing called a “baby gender reveal party,” where those who are expecting a bundle of joy gather a flock of people, deck out their place, and make a big deal as to what the sex of their baby is going to be. This creation of a party came out of someone’s butt and we all climbed on that bandwagon, I being one of them! I absolutely dislike holidays or parties, insignificant ones, like Valentines Day, Bridal Showers, baby showers and gender reveal parties. I’ve done them all or gone to them, because who doesn’t like going to a party? But they are totally unnecessary.

When I found out I was pregnant I knew I had to jump on the gender reveal bandwagon and I didn’t want to do the same ol’ thing that’s been done. Confetti anything looked gorgeous in photos, but it’s been done; balloons in a box, it’s been done; water guns with blue or pink paint inside, it’s been done; cutting of a cake with the color inside, it’s been done. I had one idea which was Halloween themed, but it wasn’t thought out thoroughly so it was put on the back burner. We were days away from the gender reveal day and it hit my boyfriend to do pies in the face that would reveal the color! Oh, I loved it and was upset I didn’t think of it, after all I have been the one getting pies in my face throughout our Youtube adventures.

I got my doctor to write the baby’s gender down on paper and stick into an envelope. Then I went to our local bakery and described to her what I wanted, something like a lemon meringue pie, but the meringue (stuff inside) to have a blue or pink filling, with loads of whip cream on top. All together we had to big pies and one small one for Ziana, totaling $28. Would Ziana really put her face in the pie? We had no idea, but we prepared her by watching Youtube videos online!
