There’s two things when having a kid that can mess up the day; forgetting to pack necessities and not having a durable diaper to keep everything in. Well let me tell you a little story–
This is back when Ziana was a week old and I thought I had everything packed up for our trip; diapers, wipes, A&D, pacifier, formula bottle, and bibs. Remember, I was a brand-spanking new mom so I was still learning the ropes of this whole mommy thing. I didn’t want my mom to question me and ask if I had everything, who did she think I was! I had this! Haha.
Ziana was done drinking her bottle at the doctor’s office and I was getting ready to change her because I smelled something funky. This little child of mine decided to poop outside her diapers on to her legs and up her back. Yes, it went everywhere. Every crack and crevasse was covered with her funkiness.
I had all the wipes I needed and used a good handful of them. Next it was time to change her clothes– oh wait– where are the extra clothes!? My mom just gave me that look. Mother of the freaking year!
It was a lesson learned that allowing your mother to still put in her two cents is necessary and that all diapers aren’t the same. I’ve constantly switched from brands to types during a whole year and was over testing out all the different types until–
I tried Huggies Snug & Dry and I must say that as of now it’s been the best thing that has worked for both Z and me thus far. It holds all the funkiness in for a longer time without leaking and has her feeling drier than any others diaper has before. Just because it works for me and Z, not all babies are the same and everyone’s funkiness is different, haha.
With my new great find I would love to share this experience with one lucky reader by providing a $50 Babies R’ Us gift card! Simply subscribe to my blog by June 26, 2013 and comment stating you did and I’ll chose a random email by using Random.org!
Do you have any funny or memorable diaper adventures or as to why being “snug and fit” is important to you?
And if you already like Huggies then browse more of their stuff at the Huggies website.
Good luck!

Jun 26, 2013 at 2:21 pmI subscribed! Thanks!! My daughter once went through 4 diapers! She just kept going! I think snug and fit is very important because if the diaper is too big, then leaks happen everytime!!

Jun 21, 2013 at 1:54 pmI subscribed! 🙂 Our funny diaper story was when we put a swim diaper on Carter instead of a regular one! After dinner we were wondering why he was soaking wet and the high chair was soaked! We realized that we had a swim diaper on instead! Had to laugh! 🙂
