Last week both Ziana and I were invited to a fun event by Toy R Us to join them in celebrating the 5th anniversary of its exclusive award-winning Journey Girls brand with an updated collection of on-trend fashions tailored to an all-new Italian adventure. The setting for the event was gorgeous; lights on the ceiling, foods catered around the Italian culture. One of the funnest events attended by far this Summer; cannoil making table, sticker making luggage tag, yummy food, photo booth with scenes from Italy, section displaying the brand new trendy Journey Girls dolls and all their new accessories!
Children can select the doll that most inspires them, choosing from Chavonne, the multitalented performer; Callie, an aspiring dancer; Dana, the animal lover; Kelsey, who seeks out exciting new adventures; Kyla, an amazing artist; Meredith, the energetic team athlete; and Mikaella, the latest addition to the collection who loves cooking and baking. Ziana couldn’t choose just one doll, but eventually selected the one that ‘spoke’ to her, Mikaella.
To coincide with the launch of the 2015 collection, customers will find new Journey Girls accessories, including a Best in Class School Set, Birthday Celebration Set and Pet Grooming Set, which will debut this fall.
The dolls are affordable at $39.00 and with a great broad of dolls to let your child chose and relate to. The dolls were honestly gorgeous and on top of fashion trends, just check out their closets! Why can’t they make our clothes that stylish and affordable? I was able to speak to one of the creators of the new collection who says that what inspired the Italian collection were many of the fashion bloggers they look up to and I thought that was pretty awesome. Of course I suggested for the next collection to look into Peruvian Youtubers from New York, one can only dream, right?
Of course the day was documented on our Youtube channel
