Last week was my big girl’s fourth birthday– another milestone down and millions more to go. When it comes to traditions and making someone feel special on their day we can go all out. We celebrated her birthday the day before up until Saturday, which you can read more about on Thursday here on the blog. Since Ziana loves animals we decided instead of going to the same zoos we aladorable toddler actress
ways go to in New York, why not try somewhere we’ve never been to? I grew up in Long Island and surprisingly had never been to the aquarium therefore we knew that had to be a place we were gonna visit. Long Island Aquarium here we come–
They have a bunch of interactive experiences:
– Behind the scenes tour
– Aquatic birthday parties
– Summer Camp
– Tour boat
– Penguin encounter
– Snorkel adventure
– Sea lion selfie
– Shark encounter
– Sleep with the fishes
– Trainer programs and more!
Quick pointers:
– An hour and change drive from Queens to the aquarium wasn’t bad.
– $27 adults/ $21 for kids, birthdays you get in free
– For me it was super small compared to other places
– Gorgeous inside with plenty of benches all over to sit
– Food was basic and affordable; $5-$6 or bring outside food
– Indoor/outdoor experiences
– River touring available
– Penguins had the best exhibit ever! This is probably totally bias since we’re obsessed with them
