My Girl Crushes

I love men. Always have and always will. However, I’ve also had girl crushes, which isn’t exactly what men think it is. I’m sure many women have girl crushes on other girls without it being sexual.

Girl crushes are mostly a kind of admiration you have for another woman. Whether it be their personality, laugh, body, morals, or so on that could easily attract you to someone who you wouldn’t normally be attracted to.

Doesn’t mean you want to have a full on relationship with them, you just think highly of them and admire who they are.

For instance I have my top three girl crushes:

• Rihanna. Many might not be too fond of her due to her free-spirited and bad gal ways, but I absolutely love it. Who doesn’t dream of doing what they want, how they want it and where they want it? I was always scared to live outside the cookie cutter box and admire when people do. Not to mention Rihanna is uber sexy. Her sex appeal can’t even be rated!

• Robin Meade, is the polar opposite of my first crush– she’s a wholesome type of gal who you’d introduce to your mom, dad, uncle, step-mom, great great aunt and so on, haha. Many may not know who she is if you’re not into the HLN (headline news) network like I am, but if you so I think you understand. Robin is a journalist, television host, author and singer who is just the prettiest and sweetest woman I’ve seen on any news channel. Do I know her personally? No, but the way she presents herself on tv will make you love her. Being nice on the eyes is one thing, but her intelligence is what hooks you.

• My third and lastly is a newbie I just added to my list, Jeannie Mei. Last week I wrote a blog post on her and the other hosts, “The Real Talk Show”. For those who don’t know who she is she’s a make-up artist, fashion expert and host. Talented, quick-witted, charming and beautiful is what makes me crush on her. It’s also a definite ++ when someone follows their dreams not letting other people’s opinion affect their lives. Personality goes a long way for me and she’s definitely all that and a bag of MAC makeup 🙂

Hmm, now that I’ve written a bit on why I crush on all the three women I know why now. There’s something about all three of them I admire and wish I could be– carefree, wholesome and living your dream. It’s hard to do be all three and these women have done it. Who wouldn’t admire that?
