When you tummy calls for some cookies and you have no ingredients to make those delicious sugar or chocolate chip cookies, there is an alternative. PEANUT BUTTER! It’s not just a healthier choice, but also it’s tastier than you could ever imagine. I made a twist by making it Christmas peanut butter cookies and that just took a couple more steps than the simple peanut butter cookies. I’ll give you both ingredients with and without the icing. Also for any other occasion you can switch up the cookie cutters and make them Valentine Day cookies, St. Patrick;s Day and so on.
3 Ingredient Peanut Butter Cookies:
1 cup sugar
1 cup peanut butter
1 egg
Christmas Peanut Butter Cookies:
1 cup sugar
1 cup peanut butter
1 egg
Vanilla icing
Food coloring
Vanilla extract (optional)
STEPS:
-Mix the sugar, peanut butter, egg and vanilla extract (if used) all together.
-Roll them into small/medium sized balls and push down with a fork. If using cookie cutters then cut out the shapes and do not make them thick.
-Place in a pre-heated oven at 375* for 8-10 minutes
-Cool for 25-30 minutes (until they harden)
-Eat them like that or move on to icing!
-For icing mix any colors you want together and decorate as you please!
-Cool in the fridge until icing sticks to the cookie.
