$12 million dollars later and Battery Park now has a really amazing fish carousel for us to ride! This state-of-the-art carousel features dolphins, angelfish and other sea life darting in several directions on four rotating tracks. Apparently, the need for it came from wanting more light in Battery Park and what better way then to add such an amazing attraction for both kids and adults.
The carousel opened Thursday, August 21st and we made our way there that Saturday to do tourist-like stuff. It’s amazing how many places we haven’t gone to being New Yorkers, so this was something we had to get a jump on! We also decided to take the Waterway which we took from Gantry Park in Queens costing $6 each way (per person), but it was a nice change to the regular ‘driving-into-the-city’ routine. The line for the SeaGlass carousel was about an hour long and the ride lasted for about 4-minutes– that’s really good! Also, the prices per person (even children of all ages) were $5.
Enjoy some of our photos from SeaGlass and just family photos, plus video of our daily vlog from that day–
