The second– okay, maybe day– that Thanksgiving ended we were all about Christmas. This year we spent Thanksgiving in Pennsylvania with the boyfriend’s family and tried to take advantage of all the small town events that were happening last weekend. One talked about event was the Santa Express on the Stourbridge Line which takes you on a scenic 45-minute ride alongside Santa Claus.
It of course was a surprise for Ziana and Gunner, because everything in life should be a surprise! Ziana has been talking about Santa since last year Christmas so knowing there was a fun event riding around with Santa was something I knew I had to do. We were lucky enough to have “Gammy” (grandma) come for the ride. Santa spreads his Christmas Cheer on The Stourbridge Line! The train ride goes through Wayne County’s Winter Wonderland enjoying the already decorated town! Kids will receive a present from Santa, story time from the conductor, a holiday size souvenir ticket and candy cane for riding. For a $15 adult entry fee and $10 entry fee for kids 2-12, it’s definitely a great deal. Could it be more? I think so. Maybe some suggestions would be to have carolers in each train or more Santa time, but then you are dealing with kids and they can get very antsy! I just love to be all wrapped up in Christmas I wish I had my own train ride with Santa! LOL. Enjoy the photos and take a look at the video from that fun day–
