My hygiene is super important of course not for just myself, but others around me. Who wants to smell your funk? Showering is important. Scrubbing is important. Every crevasse of your body is important. Switching shavers/loofas every so often is important. Applying deodorant is important, yet sadly many people still don’t know how to successfully clean their body and get rid of the smell. Fret not amigos, I’m here to help from experience because if you’ve followed my Youtube journey I recently dealt with the funky issue a few months back after having Gunner. Hormones really do a wonder to your body-
I took to Pinterest and found some points of interest.
1- Wearing tight clothes that won’t allow your armpits to breathe can be an issue, so try not to wear too tight of clothing around the armpits.
2- Next, while you’re in the shower it’s important to scrub– don’t rip your skin off, but do gently scrub as much as you can because dead bacteria could be marking their territory.
3- A bad diet could play a factor so try accessing what you’re eating
4- Apple cider vinegar! Pinterest suggested to mix it with some water because it does burn, but I just added it to a cotton pad and scrubbed my armpits with it. This eliminates odor and darkness.
5- Lastly, use deodorant. I’ve been using Dove Advanced Care it’s created with their special moisturizing cream, which leaves those newly clean pits soft and smooth.
With a product so important in our daily beauty routine, why is it that it often falls to the bottom of the priority list in seeking out the very best? Dove conducted a survey with Latina’s across the US to see how using/not using antiperspirant affects them.
These are the results–
– Out of their beauty products, Latinas surprisingly ranked deodorant as the one that makes them feel most confident (2x more than toothpaste and 3.5x more than foundation)!
– 80% of Latinas prioritize putting on deodorant over washing their hair and putting on mascara or lip gloss
– 2 in 3 Latinas have experienced underarm irritation, uneven skin tone, dry skin or red marks
– When Latinas have forgotten to apply deodorant it was revealed that: 88% feel self-conscious, 71% distance themselves from others, 57% have gone back home to put it on
– 92% of Latinas want a deodorant that provides skin care benefits in addition to odor and wetness protection.
What are your thoughts on these findings? Do you feel this way? Will you be testing some of my tips, including Dove Advanced Care?
